All jokes aside, I really do love Sam’s photos. Honestly. Especially his night time shots, too. You see, where I live, we don’t usually see stars, and so it always amazes me to see how many there really are just hiding in plain sight. That, and sam captures the moments perfectly, every time. The angle, the exposure, everything.

Mind you, I don’t actually set a specific time for these things do I? So I can’t really get away with the first line, can I? *sigh* I thought not.
Anyway, today’s photo just had to be taken from JDHuang on Flickr, because…well, look for yourself! I’ve seen many a light stream photo in traffic, but this one tops all previous! The color tone, paths of light, and photo ratio make this a ‘golden’ photo, if you will. I love the color tones especially. Not to hot, nor too cold. Just right.

Today’s photo of the day comes from Howard Fang (howard-f) on Flickr. I still love Taipei, but something about expired film just seems to jump out at me. That, and I have to say I’d love to visit Nevada any day. I’ve been looking through some photos lately, and found that ghost towns and the simple barrenness of the area and lack of life excites me. Anyway, this photo instantly became my photo of the day when I saw the expired film grain, the wonderful composition, and the stunning DOF on the photo. No long speech today, you’ll be glad. So I’ll skip straight into why I chose this photo.
Signs have always fascinated me. Not so much English signs, but more the way Asian signs are presented in areas like China, Japan, and Taiwan. Even though some may be old, they really look attractive…in my opinion. That’s actually quite significant coming from a person who’s a downright cleanfreak, and hates a spot of dirt anywhere in his room.
Today’s photo was taken on February 24th, 2012 by another one of my favorites, JDHuang. I don’t know his actual name, though I’d hazard a guess to say that it starts with J. I do love how the lights in the picture are like bright spots, and also the angle at which the signs have been captured, too. Great work, Huang! (If I may call you that)
