The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Hey, can’t say I’ve exactly been away from my computer this time, and I can’t say I’ve been busy, either. Well, I have, but not in the way you’d expect. I mean this isn’t your usual ‘I have commissions and jobs to finish’ busy, no. This is your ‘I have Skyrim to play, Dragons to slay, and bounties to pay’ busy. What can I say though? It’s an epic game…even if no one I know apart from George will believe me

Anyway, enough of my hermit life in front of the very screen I am typing on, it’s time to update you on some things in my (very small, hermity, and boring) life. First things first! I’m redecorating! Lame, I know, but I honestly can’t remember what’s happened since holiday…it all seems to be filled in with playing Skyrim all day, every day…and maybe it has, I don’t know. Carrying on though, this redecoration really does suck. I mean, who knew wielding a paint pad could be so hard! I managed to paint one wall yesterday, ONE, and my arms were burning like fire. Turns out that these cursed things require a second coat though! I honestly believe that somewhere out there, someone has figured one coat paint…but I’ve just probably never seen it, or they’re just unwilling to share it with me. Either way, I still wish I had it right now, especially when I’m meant to be repainting the whole house, which is more than just a few walls, I assure you.

Secondly, ah, the memories are coming back now, I did get to meet up with Juj himself the other week (or was it month?) and finally got to see him other than through FaceTime, which made him look distorted to say the least. It was a good time, playing Skyrim, Minecraft, and other things pretty much the whole time, as you do. In fact, our motto for the day was ‘Skyrim ’till death!’ which we both seemed to whole heartedly believe at the time. But alas, the night proved too much for us to handle, and even two super-powered Dovahkiins have to sleep sometimes (gotta get that ‘Well Rested’ bonus). So, we slept for a few hours, and carried on. All in all, the trip was, undeniably, a huge success, barring the fact that I left my coat there, of course.

I’m pretty sure that was last month, but since then of course it’s just been me, Skyrim, and a whole load of biscuits. Fortunately I did remember that there was a real world out there, and so I’ve decided to come off for a while, seeing as amassing over 200 hours of gameplay in the first few weeks really isn’t good for my health. Then I remembered I had a blog! Yeah, I admit I did kinda forget, but hey, excessive gaming does that to you. However, I do have a boatload of pictures to share that I’ll be doing every day again, to keep me on my toes and help me to get up early. I would do a Newsspot so frequently too, but nothing on seems to grab me these days, but maybe that’ll change in the coming days.

Anyway, I’m done for now, so I’ll stop myself from rambling on and on…

Absent Without Leave

Hey there you slap happy readers!

There really is no excuse for not regularly updating this time, apart from the fact that my body clock’s been really messed up lately, and I seem to getting up later and later each day without my alarm clock. This explains the absence of the posts that I usually conjure up in the morning. The time for evening posts, however, was taken over by my new obsession commonly known as ‘Rayman Origins’. It’s an epic 2D sidescroller, set just after the events of the 1994/5 (?) ‘Rayman’, which I still own on PS1. You’ll be happy to know, though, that I’ve toned it down a bit, and I should have the free time to churn out a post or two in the evenings. Anyway, I’m typing here on borrowed time as it is though, and this was just a status post to let you all know that I am not dead, and will be updating soon, so I bid you all farewell!

The Evening Post – Issue 21

Evening guys!

Thsi evening’s been quite a blast, I’ll tell you that. Terraria with George was epic. Totally. To be honest, that’s all I’ve done. I slept, woke up, and played Terraria. Not much when you think about it, so you may wonder why i’m even posting this tonight…

Because I got screenshots of course!

 

Yeah, they may seem lame, but don’t worry, these are our noobish characters. The really overpowered stuff is locked away…forever.

Anyway, I’ll be posting a quote tomorrow morning, and also a photo of the day, if all goes well. I’ll be leaving the Newsspot till a little later when some new articles come out though, seeing as none I’ve seen lately take my fancy at the moment. However, if you want, you can comment with a article you’ve read recently below, and I’ll give it a proper post.

The Evening Post – Issue 20

Good Evening!

Yeah, sorry for the lack of posts and all. I did have a post ready on my iPod, but that sucked, and I realised that I’m gonna have to limit my blogging to the desk…

I just can’t seem to ge the hang of this whole mobile blogging thing. It doesn’t seem natural. I did have some posts ready, but my eyes are way too tired to even begin typing all the words I had mapped out, so I’m gonna put that on hold till tomorrow. However, while I was away from my computer today, I did my usual routine, and then (of course), played some Junk Jack. I have to admit, since I’ve got all my Mythril tools, and I’ve managed to loot like 30+ worlds of all the Mythril available, I feel like the game needs an adventure mode, seeing as when you’ve got Mythril, the game kind of ends. Anyway, enough of my gamer’s plight, I thought I’d upload some pictures of my exploration below on my main, and 99% looted world. Beware, I am seriously overpowered.

Sorry it’s been another quick post this evening, but I really have gotta get back to watching the rest of this Adventure Time episode before I go to bed. If you haven’t seen that program, I suggest you Google it. Like, now.

The Evening Post – Issue 19

Evening!

See? I said I would post, and I delivered! It wasn’t easy though, I’ll tell you that, and I’m afraid that today’s post is going to have to be pretty short. Today was ok, if you forget the fact that I have an eye infection. I slept, slept, and occasionally played Junk Jack before I went back to sleep. Yup, this day’s been nonexistant for me, since I’ve been asleep most of the time. My eye was a little red yesterday, but I didn’t think much of it until this morning when I finally looked in my mirror, and found that I could just about open my eye wide enough to see, and that I could clearly define around 99% of all the veins in my eye. It was darn scary, I’ll be honest. Mum kept saying that it was from being too close to the computer, but that didn’t make sense. I mean, I use two eyes for that, right? So shouldn’t two be affected? Yeah, that’s what I thought. Anyway, I’ve been ambling along with my one swollen eye this evening, doing a few bits on here and Photoshop, and it’s beginning to irritate me again as I type, so I’m gonna head back to my bed (12 inches from here) and get some more shut eye. No, I’m not usually this lazy, in fact, I usually hate sleeping so much, but my recovery for tomorrow demands it.
